An education at ASTA AVIATION with pay dividends for life.

The‘’ AVIATION FOR TEENAGERS’’ training is an aviation programme designed for teenagers between 07 to 17 years old (primary and secondary school levels) who want to become pilots, air traffic contollers, air hostess, aircraft maintenance engineers or other aviation career.

Together we are opening doors for young aviators worldwide to foster their passion and reach their aspirations. There are vast opportunities awaiting young people seeking a career where the sky is not the limit but their home.

In addition to our aviation professional training programs, ASTA Aviation International academy also operates aviation training designed for primary and secondary levels which follow an introduction to strategic aviation to integrate solutions to both national and international aviation and aeronautic communities. ASTA Aviation therefore promote aviation for children at their early ages, giving everyone the chance to be prepared for the next generation of air transport professions and highly rewarding careers.
We are recognised as the first and the only school across Africa that offers aviation at the early ages between 7 years to 17 years old.

The ‘’AVIATION FOR TEENAGERS TRAINING PROGRAMME’’ takes place on Saturdays and during Holidays which gives our aviation teenagers enthausiasts the possibility to fully attend their training without interfering with their normal academic programme.

Programme Commitment Level Expectation.
Our aviation for teenagers programme works because you participate in all its training programmes: These includes, Pilot Ground School, Maintenance and Events which then give you the foundation for aviation and for flying. We want people who will commit to the whole programme, and attend at least half of the meetings and events per month.
Realistically speaking, to learn aviation and flying before graduating from High School you must plan to fly far more than the minimum!  A well rounded exposure to careers in aviation is our goal, and your flight knowledge before HS graduation can be yours!

Some “Ground School” things we learn

  • Basic aerodynamics
  • Instruments, engine and systems
  • Airports, Air Traffic Control & Airspace
  • Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Weather
  • Navigation, charts and publications
  • Radio communications
  • Cross-country flight planning

Some “Maintenance” things we learn

  • Changing oil and filters
  • Compression checks
  • Wheel and tire maintenance
  • Riveting and drilling-out rivets
  • Fabric covered flight surfaces
  • Stripping and painting
  • Interior reupholstering
  • Servicing oleo struts

Airshows Trips Enrichment Events
In the May military show, we enjoy a Family Fun Day with a picnic together and give rides to parents and siblings.  In the spring we support Falcon Field Airport’s Open House.

Throughout the year we try to do some sort of “aviation enrichment” event – like visiting the Pima Air and Space Museum, or a helicopter factory, or the Air National Guard Base, or a major airline maintenance facility!   Tons of fun.   These events are open to other family members and friends.

ASTA Aviation International Academy is excited to introduce a new program designed to inspire our younger visitors to explore flight, aerospace and other related STEM subjects. Aviation for Kids is designed for children in grades 3 and above. Our curriculum features hands-on learning and addresses a variety of engaging subjects, including:

  • A bit of aviation history — How did humankind learn to build an airplane? Why were the Wright brothers successful when others had failed?
  • The 4 fundamental forces of flight that affect every flying machine, whether an airplane, rocket, or drone. Kids will experience lift and drag on an airplane wing.
  • The types of airplanes and their major components
  • Fight control experience with an RC model plane
  • Building and “test flying” a simple model glider, which your child will take home
  • Flight path control and introduction to the flight deck (aircraft controls and flight instruments, including GPS)
  • Aircraft checklists and flight planning
  • Basic piloting — take-off, maneuvering, and landing — in the Museum’s dynamic flight simulator
  • Aviation career opportunities

ASTA Aviation is willing to partner with organizations, primary and secondary schools for in her ‘’aviation for teenagers’’ training programme. .

The initial aviation training programme is developped for teenagers between 05 to 17 years old who are still in primary (1st Grade to 6th Grade) and secondary schools (Grade 3rd to 12th) and whose aim (or not) are to follow aviation industry path. This programme is designed in way which shall not interfere with the normal academic studies of the students.

If you’re a young aviation enthusiast between the ages of 7 and 17 and want to explore the freedom of flight, ASTA Aviation offers the opportunity to start your journey toward aviation participation with a FREE Young Eagles flight.

The purpose of this initial aviation programme is to enable young people from all backgrounds to have experience in aviation and aerospace at their early ages. We shall create more events and activities where students will highly gain knowledge in aviation as we keep collaborating with INTERNATIONAL CIIVL AVIATION ORGANISATION (ICAO).
If there’s an opportunity to get kids involved in aviation, to show them the ins and outs of what aviation is all about, then we need to take it. Our flight instructors, flight school manager and general aviation enthusiasts, to bring kids into aviation through during our lessons and activities. Setting up programs with the school, creating an aviation curriculum for teenagers, kids are involve in flight simulators during classroom, putting on local “airport days” for kid… all of that takes a lot of effort, and you won’t see any immediate reward or any boost to your bottom line. We have taken a step to develop this programme which is simply an addition to the normal Cameroon curriculum.

To sustain aviation business, we need more young and efficient people for the upcoming generation. We need fresh ideas. And we need to expose people to aviation who might not otherwise discover it on their own. As flight schools, instructors, and aviation advocates, if we don’t expose the next generations to aviation, who will?

NOTE: Let it be known that we do not only organize aviation activities for teenagers. We however, have full training syllabus from primary one (Grade one) to Upper sixth (Grade 12) giving everyone the chance to be prepared for the next generation of air transport professions and highly rewarding careers. Aviation is therefore, just like computer which is taught from syllabus from primary one (Grade one) to Upper sixth (Grade 12).

Getting into aviation industry after upper sixth (Grade 12) is like learning Computer programming without having knowledge of the keyboard. LOL!!!! WHAT A FRUSTRATION.S

YOUR DREAM COMES TRUE IF YOU START THE JOURNEY EARLY!
