PART I: SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

In order to give financially underprivileged enthusiasts the opportunity to get engaged in the “Very High Rewarding Profession (VHRP)”, ASTA Aviation International Academy offers aviation enthusiasts the possibility to successfully go through this path through scholarship.

Aims

  1. The principal aim of this scholarship is to offer financial support to students who are currently enrolled at ASTA Aviation International Academy, in an Advanced Aviation Diploma training programme.
  2. The scholarship also aims at strengthening aviation workforce in Africa through our Advanced Aviation Diploma training programme.
  3. The aim of this scholarship is to improve the number of qualified aviation professionals in Africa.

Basis of Award

The scholarship committee comprised of officers and members will make a final selection of the student to receive the scholarship based on their review of application form. The scholarships will be awarded primarily on the basis of:

  • Financial need
  • Academic qualifications
  • Career goals
  • Projects/accomplishments/educational plans
  • Faculty recommendation letter

How to Apply

In addition to a completed Application Form, the Scholarship Committee also requests a letter from the applicant specifically discussing three evaluation criteria: financial need, academic qualifications, and career goals (one paragraph for each criterion). The applicant’s letter should be a maximum of two (2) pages.

Application Criteria

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Must/wish to enroll as a full-time student in an Advanced Aviation Diploma programme at ASTA Aviation International Academy
  • Must be qualified for admission at ASTA Aviation International Academy
  • Must have substantial extra-curricular and leadership involvements
  • Must be of good moral character
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must not enjoy other scholarship grants or financial assistance
  • Letter of Recommendation required

Key Skills and Qualities

  • Level: Often targets freshmen
  • Leadership & Character: Demonstrating integrity, good character, and leadership qualities
  • Passion for Aviation: Showing genuine interest in an aviation career
  • Language: Strong command of English, French or Spanish
  • Mental Fortitude: Demonstration of appropriate mental readiness

Scholarship Conditions

  • Applicants must enroll in “accelerated training option” and complete the training programme within 12 months
  • Applicants must be able to pay 50% tuition fees as prescribed on our website or on the tuition payment plan provided at the time of admission
